A little about myself...

 

My backstory goes a little like this. I was born in the quaint little city of St. Marys, Ohio to a set of amazing, supportive parents and a super fun (sometimes obnoxious) older sister, all whom I love dearly. For as long as I can remember, I've loved all things arts and crafts, which I attribute mostly to my very talented father and creative sister. Art had always been my favorite subject throughout school, from elementary to high school. I was nominated and served as Vice President of my high school's Art Club and also voted Most Artistic my Senior year. I went on to study Graphic Design with a little side of Business Admin at International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana where I earned my Associate Degree and consistently stayed on the president's list for the duration of my education there. Also while attending IBC, I learned some incredible new things about art and design from a couple of very talented instructors, Frank Brookes and Jan Schaltenbrand, (I owe them a ton, trust me), made some amazing friends and eventually met my handsome husband, Dan, of now almost 15 years. Together, we have 4 ridiculously cool kids that I wouldn't trade for the world. Their support and encouragement are the only reason I've made it as far as I have in my career. I owe even more to them!

 

I am passionate about the beauty of words, both by sight and by definition. That is why I use Proverbs 16:24 as my business mantra. It says that words are like a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. It is my mission to create beautiful typographic designs that are pleasing to the eye as well as touching to the heart. In addition, as a graphic designer, I create professional yet affordable business marketing materials such as custom logos, business cards, brochures, and point of sale materials, as well as personal layouts like wedding and baby shower invites just to name a couple. As an artist, I design beautiful handcrafted jewelry pieces and fine art pieces. I enjoy watercolor and acrylic painting, sketching, and sculpture. Along with art, I love to sing! I love volunteering at my church as a worship song leader with a great group of other singers and musicians. In my spare time...oh wait I don't have any spare time, but that's okay because I absolutely love what I do and wouldn't trade these God given talents for the world!
